OAK is his name

August 31, 2009

My Sweet friends Heather and Matt just adopted the most beautiful little boy and named him Oak. How cool is that!

This is little Oak’s verse – Isaiah 61:1-3  The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me. He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken, Announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners. God sent me to announce the year of his grace— a celebration of God’s destruction of our enemies— and to comfort all who mourn, To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit. Rename them “Oaks of Righteousness” planted by God to display his glory.

Mom and I had SUCH a wonderful time getting to spend the morning with Heather and her beautiful children! What a blessing! Seriously I am not really sure how I am supposed to just pick a few photos to share with you guys. They all turned out so good, I am thrilled. You can really tell from this shoot the benefit of having two photographers during a session! Such great stuff as a result! Thanks again Heather for your time and all the effort it took to get up early and get everyone ready. I hope you enjoy your, rather large, sneek peek!  xoxo!

Here is Oak’s oak tree!!!!! My new favorite photo!

I loved so many of theses that I had a REALLY hard time trying to figure out which ones to post so I am probably posting more then I should, but that’s ok, right?!

Here they are, hope you love them as much as I do! You are BEAUTIFUL Jamie!

A Beautiful Family

Ellerbee-2logoEllerbee-3logoEllerbee-4logoEllerbee-5logoEllerbee-6logoEllerbeelogoFinally finished all my editing from JH Ranch.  Here is the third family I had the privilege of photographing while there.  A storm was headed our way and the wind was blowing as you can see from some of the pictures but we were able to finish before the rain started later that night.  What a beautiful family and both little boys have the most beautiful eyes and I love photographing redheads.  They make the cutest pictures.  Since I have four grandsons myself I love taking pictures of little boys.  Our family has known Jason for many years, before he married Elizabeth.  During those years, he had a big impact on our kids when they were on staff at JH Ranch so it was an honor to be able to give back to his family since he influenced ours so much.  The Ellerbee family has been a big blessing to our entire family!!  Blessings, Sharon

Here is the second staff family I had the  privilege of photographing while Terry and I were at JH Ranch.  What precious and beautiful children Charlie and Isobel are and also their stunning parents!!  Thanks for making the effort with your hectic schedules and with all the distractions of campers walking by while we were doing this — I think they turned out great!  Love you guys – Sharon

Beautiful LeDuc Family

August 7, 2009

I am in Northern California for 2 weeks teaching Husband/Wife Adventure with my husband at JH Ranch.  This is our 11th year having the privilege to do this and it is an adventure for us each summer.  Some of our children’s best friends serve on the full time staff here at JH Ranch and I was able to photograph three beautiful families this week.  I sure did miss Kelly while trying to take these pictures.  You really do need two when trying to photograph families with small children.  This wonderful families give so sacrificially of their time, talents and they all have true hearts of servanthood as they minister all summer long.  Therefore, it is an honor to be able to give back to them pictures of their families during these formative years of their children.  Here is the first family I did – thanks Jonathan and Jen for taking time out of your busy schedules.  Jonathan and Jen have two precious girls – Selah and Ansley and Jen is pregnant with twins.  Kelly and I are looking forward to photographing those babies!!!  Love, Sharon
